Expo 2010 Shanghai IP Protection Outlines Unveiled
According to "World Expo 2010 Shanghai IP Protection
Outlines"(hereafter called "The Outlines")
by World Expo 2010 Organizing Committee (hereafter called
"Organizing Committee"), China will actively
protect IP rights of exhibiters according to Chinese
IP laws, regulations and International Treaties China
covenanted. In view of the time requirement of World
EXPO IP protection, the pertinent government departments
will open green channel for the exhibiters to file IP
applications within the scope of Chinese IP laws. For
example, The Outlines include the following supporting
measures:
1. Organizing Committee will provide exhibiters with
a list of qualified and creditable IP agencies.
2. During World Expo 2010 Shanghai, the pertinent government
departments will set up an on-the-spot organ to provide
exhibiters with consultancy of IP protection and to
harmonize or settle IP conflicts.
3. Organizing Committee will provide exhibition certifying
documents for exhibiters' exhibits or trademarks, which
are firstly exhibited or used, so that within six months,
exhibiters could save the novelty of the exhibits in
Patent applications or could enjoy priority in trademark
applications.
4. Organizing Committee will provide artists with certifying
documents for their performance in order to protect
their rights as actors and actresses. |
